Accessibility at EatDTL

EatDTL is committed to making our restaurant, event, and downtown information usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology.

Our target

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our accessibility target. This is a goal, not a claim that every page or third-party service currently meets every success criterion.

Latest review

The latest source and keyboard review was completed on July 21, 2026. It covered shared navigation and page structure, the homepage, restaurant directory and detail pages, event and update pages, newsletter signup, contact and advertising forms, and representative protected admin lists and editors.

The review included automated source regression checks, color-contrast calculations, responsive and zoom-oriented code review, and manual keyboard and focus-order review.

Accessibility features

  • A skip link and consistent page landmarks
  • Visible, high-contrast keyboard focus indicators
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, filters, forms, tables, and disclosure controls
  • Text labels for status, external-link behavior, and form instructions
  • Responsive layouts, 44-pixel primary controls, and reduced-motion support
  • Alternative text or intentionally empty alternative text for images, as appropriate

Known limitations

  • Contact and advertising forms are embedded from RapidForm. EatDTL labels the embedded frames and provides surrounding structure, but some behavior and form markup are controlled by that third-party service.
  • The protected admin sign-in is provided by Cloudflare Access. Admin templates and editors were reviewed in source, but a complete authenticated screen-reader review across assistive-technology combinations is still planned.
  • Testing has not covered every browser, device, screen reader, or operating-system combination.
